You can send emails to users using standard iHasco templates and custom email templates. To learn how to create custom templates, see How do I create a custom email template?
Sent emails are queued, and you're notified when they've been sent successfully in the Jobs complete section in the top-right corner.
Note: Emails can only be sent to users with an email-based sign-in method. Users who sign in with a username won't be able to receive messages.
Step-by-step instructions
Go to Reports.
Narrow the list to the users you want to email. You can combine any of these filters:
All segments / All courses: limit results to a particular segment or course.
Status tabs (All Results, Needing attention, Not started, Archived): focus on a group's overall progress.
Status pills (In progress, Completed, Failed, Expiring soon, Expired): filter by where users are in a course.
Name or keyword search: find specific people.
Date and Include historic results: narrow by time period or include past results.
Select who should receive the email:
An individual: tick the check box to the left of their details.
A group: tick the check box in the column headings to select everyone in the filtered list.
Everyone: click the tick sign in the check-box column heading to select all users in the filtered list.
Click Actions and select Send Email.
Check the To box lists the correct recipients.
Click the arrow in the Email Template box to choose a template:
Empty: add your own subject line and message.
Welcome: the default welcome template — you can edit the text, but changes won't be saved back to the template.
Custom templates: any templates created by your admins.
Click Send Email.
Note: To send an email to a specific segment, filter your users by that segment. For more on filtering, see How do I customise a course report using filters?
