Overview
A user's profile controls what that person can do in the LMS — from simply taking their own training, right through to full control of the platform. Choosing the right profile means giving each person enough access to do their job, without handing over more control than they need.
The Learner profile
Learner is the standard profile, and everyone on the LMS has it. A Learner can take assigned training and assessments, and view their own history and certificates (if allowed). Most of your users will be Learners and nothing more.
Learner access is built into every profile. So when you give someone an admin profile, they can still take their own training — you don't need to assign Learner separately.
Administrator profiles
If someone needs to help manage the LMS — not just take training — you give them an administrator profile. There are several admin levels, each with more control than the last, from viewing reports up to full platform and billing control.

Note: If you assign more than one admin profile to a user, only the highest level of access applies — the others have no effect. Assign a single profile to keep things clear.
