How do I set a course as mandatory/optional?

How to change the enrolment type

Courses can be set as either mandatory or optional. Mandatory courses are ones users are required to complete as part of their training, often to meet compliance or organisational requirements. Optional courses are available for users to take at their own discretion, so they can explore additional learning based on their interests or professional development.

This setting is a visual cue to help users prioritise their training — it doesn't change how a course behaves or restrict access in any way.

How can users tell which courses are mandatory or optional?

In the example below, the Training Suite shows two courses set to Mandatory and one to Optional. The two headings only appear when at least one course is set to Mandatory — otherwise the suite displays without them.
