Overview
The Documents & Policies add-on lets you upload your own files — such as company policies, handbooks, or procedures — for your learners to read in the LMS. This article covers how to add a new document. Once it's uploaded, you can set it as required reading and link it to specific courses.
Note: Documents & Policies is an add-on and isn't available on every account. If you don't have it yet, see How do I enable Documents & Policies for my account?
Step-by-step instructions
Go to Settings.
Find the Add-Ons section, click Documents & policies.
Click +Add resource in the top-right corner.
Upload your file and add its name.
Set the Required reading option:
No requirement — the resource is available for learners to read, but they're not obliged to.
Everybody — everyone in your organisation must read the resource and confirm they've understood it.
Click Upload file and add resource.

Once your document is added, you can:
Set a resource as Required reading so everyone must read and confirm it.
Link a resource to a course so it's required only for learners on that course.
Archive or delete a resource when it's no longer needed.

By default a resource is available to your learners in their Documents & policies page. If you set it as required reading, it's highlighted for everyone until they confirm they've read it. If you link it to a course, it's required only for learners on that course.
Do I have to make a document required reading?

No. You can add a document without making it required — learners can still view it. Set it as required reading only when you need people to confirm they've read and understood it. See How do I set a resource as Required reading?

Yes. Find the resource in your list, click the menu icon on the right of its details, and select Edit.
