How do I change a sign-in method?

Overview

If someone's circumstances change, e.g. they've been given a work email address since you first set them up, you can update how they sign in.

Note: as an admin, you can switch a user from a username to an email address yourself, but changing from email to username has to be requested from the iHasco support team.

To understand the two sign-in methods before you start, see Sign-in methods available for users.

Step-by-step Instructions

  1. Go to your Atlas admin page.

  2. Go to Users in the left-hand menu.

  3. Use the search bar to find the user whose sign-in method you want to change.

  4. Click the three dots button in the Actions column on the right of their row and select View/Edit User.

  5. Scroll down to the Platform Access section.

  6. Toggle Has email to Yes, then enter the user's email address.

  7. Click Save details to update their profile.

Once saved, the automated email with log in instructions is sent to the user immediately.
